"From horse to horsepower, our mission is to educate children on the critical and significant role that transportation played in the development of our Country."

Terri McEachern
Executive Director

Educational Development at the Museum of Transportation

The primary goal for the development of the educational
division of the Museum of Transportation is to inspire
the community to access, investigate, enjoy and support
the Museum of Transportation and all it has to offer.

Specifically, the education division seeks:

The Train of Thought classroom, Museum of Transportation in St. Louis
The Train of Thought is one of our classrooms that hosts facilitated field trips and Saturday Boy & Girl Scout programs. Please call the Field Trip Reservation line at 314-965-6885 ext. 5 to schedule a school or scout program.

The first step in developing a sound educational curriculum for the Museum of Transportation has been to identify the Missouri "Show Me" Standards that are most relevant to the museum. By providing learning experiences based on these standards, the museum takes its rightful place alongside the St. Louis Science Center, the St. Louis Zoo, and other venues as a first-rate location for learning.
