Boy Scouts
Boy Scout Programs offered February to May & September to November.
Reservations required. Classes subject to cancellation if minimum of 10 scouts per class is not met. You will be contacted in the event of cancellation.
Railroading Merit Badge
A
museum staff member, who is Merit Badge Counselor Certified, will lead
your scout through activities to earn the Railroading Merit Badge. There
must be a minimum of 5 scouts registered for the class for it to be held.
- 1st Saturday of March & October
12:00 - 4:00 pm - Class is limited to 20 scouts
- Boys must be at least 12 years old & have a 1st class rank - no exceptions
- $25.00 per scout
- Scouts may purchase discounted train & trolley ride stickers when making original reservation during seasonal operation.
Reserve Railroading Merit Badge Class
Tiger Cub, Bear & Wolf Scout Programs
Tiger Cubs
Class will fulfill the "Visiting a Museum" (1G)
and "Making a Model"(Elective 17) requirements.
Bear Scouts
Class will fulfill "Research a Famous American" (3B), "Visit
a National Registry Site" (3D), "Making a Model" (21A,
21F) and "Community History" (8E) requirements.
Wolf Scouts
Class will fulfill "Visiting a Museum" (4F) and "Making
Models" (electives 5G, 5H, 5I) requirements.
- 2nd Saturday of February, March, April, May, October, September & November
- 45–60 minute classes
- Tigers offered at 9:00 am, Bears at 10:30 am, Wolves at 12 noon
- Limited to 22 scouts each class
- $20.00 class fee per scouting group plus group admission to the museum
($3.00 per scout; $4.00 per adult – 2 leaders are free) - Siblings may not attend the class
- Scouts may purchase discounted train & trolley ride stickers when making original reservation during seasonal operation.

Traveler's Badge – Webelos
- 3rd Saturday of February, March, April, May, September, October & November
- 45 - 60 minute class
- Class fulfills requirements 1, 2, 3, 5, 9, 10 & 12
- Offered at 9:00 am, 10:30 am & 12:00 pm
- 22 scouts per session
- $20.00 class fee per scouting group plus group admission to the museum ($3.00 per scout; $4.00 per adult - 2 leaders are free)

Fees & Payment Policy
Full payment required at time of reservation. Discounted train & trolley ride tickets may be purchased when making original reservation during seasonal operation. Group admission tickets ($3.00) may be purchased for siblings at time of reservation (but they may not attend class).
If you purchase additional train or trolley tickets, but cannot use them due to inclement weather or mechanical difficulty the day of your visit, you may request a voucher that includes free admission for a later date. Call 314-968-6885 ext. 5 after your visit to request vouchers.
