Scavenger Hunt
Brownie and Cub Scout Leaders can call 314-965-6885 ext. 5 to reserve
the "Travel Case" or "Jr. Travel Case" for your group.
Scouts will have a blast using educational tools as they complete an outdoor
scavenger hunt on the museum grounds. They will make predictions, learn
about transportation history, use math skills, read maps and follow directional
instructions as they navigate around the park property. Each scout will
be given a Scavenger Hunt and pencil. In the event of inclement weather
the day of your scheduled visit, call 314-965-6885 ext. 5 to reschedule.
No refunds will be given.
Brownie Girl Scouts
Introducess girls to requirements for the "It's Your Story – Tell
It!" Making Games Badge.
Boy Scouts
Complete your Museum Visit requirement
with the "Travel
Case."
Travel Case is for grades 3-6
Jr. Travel Case is for grades K-3
This is an outdoor activity. Please keep
this in mind when choosing the date for your visit.
Fees
$3.00 per scout (group admission), $4.00 per adult.
$15.00 for "Travel Case" rental (credit card must be given for
payment and security deposit. It will be charged $50.00 if the case in
not returned or a minimum of $10.00 if items are broken or missing).
One case will cover 10 scouts, if more than 10 scouts, you will need to
reserve 2 cases.
Full payment due at time of reservation.
Reservations
Please call 314-965-6885 ext. 5 to reserve the travel case & receive
your discounted group rate at least two weeks in advance.
Train & Trolley Ride Special Pricing
Scouts and adults may purchase discounted train & trolley
ride stickers when making their original reservations during seasonal operation.
Siblings may purchase group rate museum admission at $3.00 but may not
attend the facilitated scout classes.
The Children's Garden Club
The Children's Garden Club is also
a great scouting opportunity to help the community. Plant a row of vegetables
for the hungry! Free, no reservations required.
The 2012 calendar of events will be available shortly.
Museum of Transportation Scout Patches
These
colorful patches are given to each scout registered for a program at the
end of the facilitated class. (Does not include the scavenger hunts.) They
are also available for purchase in the Boxcar
Boutique for $3.00.

Fees & Payment Policy
Full payment required at time of reservation. Discounted train & trolley ride tickets may be purchased when making original reservation during seasonal operation. Group admission tickets ($3.00) may be purchased for siblings at time of reservation (but they may not attend class).
If you purchase additional train or trolley tickets, but cannot use them due to inclement weather or mechanical difficulty the day of your visit, you may request a voucher that includes free admission for a later date. Call 314-968-6885 ext. 5 after your visit to request vouchers.
