1st Saturday of the month, Railroad Merit Badge
A museum staff member, who is Merit Badge Counselor Certified, will lead your scout through activities to earn the Railroad Merit Badge.
- 12:00 - 4:00 pm
- Class is limited to 16 scouts
- Boys must be at least 12 years old & have a 1st class rank
- $25.00 per scout
2nd Saturday of the month, Tiger Cub & Bear Scout Programs
Tiger Cubs: Class will fulfill the
"Visiting a Museum" (1G) and "Making a Model Boat or Plane"(Elective 17) requirements.
- 45 minute classes
- Offered at 9:00 am & 10:30 am
- Limited to 20 scouts
- $20.00 class fee per scouting group plus group admission to the museum ($3.00 per scout/$4.00 per adult)
Bear Scouts: Class will fulfill " Research a Famous American" (3B) and "Visit a National Registry Site" (3D) requirements.
- 45 minute class
- Offered at 9:00 am & 10:30 am
- Limited to 20 scouts
- $20.00 class fee per scouting group plus group admission to the museum ($3.00 per scout/$4.00 per adult)
3rd Saturday of the month, Traveler's Badge (Webelos):
- 60 minute class
- Offered at 9:00 & 10:30 am
- 20 scouts per session
- $20.00 class fee per scouting group plus group admission to the museum ($3.00 per scout/$4.00 per adult)
4th Saturday of the month: Mad Science Workshop (see Science Workshops for more information)
Full payment required at time of reservation. Scouts may purchase discounted train & trolley ride tickets when making their original reservation during seasonal operation.
